INTRODUCTION:

My name is Shane Wedekamm and I have been in G-Gauge / G-Scale model railroading since 2005. In 2006 I built my first bridge and in 2007 I created my website featuring my G-Scale bridge designs at BRIDGE-MAN MODEL WORKS LLC.

I have never referred to myself as "competition" with other G-Scale bridge builders but rather "Diverse". I even have several links on my websites to theirs. Perhaps my bridge style isn't what you're looking for specifically. My whole concept is to help G-Scale Hobbyists get the train bridge they want even if I'm not the builder. This hobby would not live long if there were no variety available.

Speaking of diverse,I do something far different from other builders. I gladly accept trades! (G or F scale related items only.) Trains, cars, buildings, parts, it makes no difference to me. I'll even help with the shipping or all of it if it's something I really like. I know that not everyone can afford all of the things that they want and this is my "win-win" solution to that pesky problem.

I always take on projects that are considered "out of the norm". Here are a few examples:

Designed for an overhead layout for a client in California around an LGB 90 Degree Crossing. 2 of these will cloverleaf together in the route.

This is my personal LIFT BRIDGE. It is taking the place of my old 20 ft. Cantilever that served me faithfully for over 5 years and now sits on a pallet in Texas awaiting it's place on a brand new Garden Railroad. The lift bridge is powered by an R/C rock crawler gearbox and controlled by an Aristocraft controller. It is not fully operational yet, I just got my counter weights this afternoon. Future progress will be posted.
